Platinum FC players
The home side who lost 1-0 at the hands of bitter rivals Simba in
the Mainland Premier League last Sunday, will field a fully-strength
side.
Yanga will likely miss the services of key players such as Andrey
Coutinho, who missed the match against Simba due to injury and Nadir
Haroub `Cannavaro’, who suffered a deep cut on top of his left eye in
the Simba clash.
Yanga lost 2-1 to BDF XI in the return leg encounter in Botswana,
but still sailed to the next stage with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline. They
had won 2-0 in the first leg match at the National Stadium.
Platinum miners sealed a 4-2 aggregate victory over Kenya’s
Sofapaka in the preliminary round of the continental second tier club
competition to set up a first round date with Yanga.
They recorded a 2-1 win in the return leg match at Mandava Stadium
after posting a similar win in Nairobi in the first leg match.
